Administrative Assistant
The Port of Coos Bay is seeking to hire an Administrative Assistant who will provide quality administrative support to all departments and employees to ensure efficient operation of the office. The Administrative Assistant participates as a key team member who will contribute to the overall success of the Port’s mission, vision, and strategic goals through the functions of Office Administration, Administrative Support, Information Systems, Human Resources, and Records Management.
As an Administrative Assistant, your essential job functions will include providing administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer, Board of Commissioners, and senior management staff, proofreading documents, preparing committee meeting notices, agendas, and packets, as well as assisting with Records Management, Human Resources, and special projects.
As an Administrative Assistant, you must possess strong organizational and problem solving skills as well as a keen attention to detail and strong proofreading skills. You will need to have an Associate degree and 5 years of experience in a similar position or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
