The Coos County Community Hazard Survey was conducted as a part of the 2021 Coos County Multi-Jurisdictional Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan update. The survey asked the public’s opinion about the natural hazards most likely to impact the area, personal concerns about those hazard impacts, desired government response to the threat of natural hazards, and personal preparedness. The results of the survey are useful in providing public input and local knowledge necessary to update both the risk assessment and the mitigation strategy components of the plan update.
